I caved!

Last week was the first week of school that teachers came back. I forgot how crazy busy that week really is with meetings, planning for meetings, and summarizing how the meetings went. I was exhausted by Friday night, but in a good way. And now the students are here…

Both my stepson and my daughter have 1 class that is incorrect on their schedule. My daughter’s isn’t too bad because she just needs to be moved from a regular Geometry course to an Honors Geometry course. And (Yes I know you shouldn’t start a sentence with and), my stepson’s has already been fixed (YAY!). Of course, that is just the tip of the iceberg for the problems high schools are facing today with missing schedules, incorrect information, and doubles. Let’s just say, the registrar/counseling office feels like this today:

Now the reason for my title…I caved. I have been wanting to figure out my stats analysis for my dissertation all by myself. I have most of my data collected. I was all ready to plug it in. That’s when I realized, I have no idea what I’m doing, and I wouldn’t know what the results meant if they jumped up and bit me.

So I caved and hired a statistician. I have a pretty tight turnaround, so they had better get with the program quickly. Because everyone knows

At least I do have some good news this week: My tile is all going to be done on Wednesday!!! That means I finally get to move in to my house Thursday after work.
