How I met him

In July of 2009, I was getting ready to start another school year. I’m a teacher, and it was a fairly exciting time of preparation as it usually is. I had started the paperwork on my divorce in April, and I only had a couple of things left to do to get it finished. I was looking forward to my new life. I was focused on my kids and finding a house to move to.

It was during this time that I had to attend a workshop near my sister. I went to her house for lunch one day. Now she had been married to her husband for about 3 years at that time, and she had twins that were just about a year old. She also hadn’t been faithful to her husband, and I knew about most of her extramarital conquests. She had mentioned a guy named Tim a few times (mostly telling me what a great ass he had and how nice he was), but that was about it. Anyway, Tim texted her and made plans to come over and hang out with her. I asked her if she wanted me to leave and she said no. So I stayed…and met my husband. Now I had actually met him a couple of years prior to that, but it was brief and we didn’t speak, so it doesn’t really count.

Anyway, we spent my lunch hour chatting it up about work and my divorce and a guy I had sort of talked to a couple of times and stuff like that. When I had to leave, he was parked behind me, so he went out, moved his truck, and walked over to my car. He leaned in like he was going to kiss me and then stopped himself. We still joke about it.

He looked me up on facebook and started messaging me. I eventually had to give him my phone number to just text me because the facebook thing was a pain in the ass on my phone (not a smartphone lol!). We just hit it off like magic. I asked my sister for permission basically to date him (even though she is married…I know), and we went from there.

And that’s how it all began…
